MMA (Methyl-Methacrylate)
MMA is a two-component liquid used for pavement marking and road striping. The reaction between the two components (a resin and a catalyst) forms a durable and long-lasting road marking. The bright color options have made MMA a popular choice for bike and bus lanes.

MMA is very durable, has great visibility and high skid resistance. The stable pigments in the paint have high color retention, meaning the markings will retain their brightness over time. This type of road marking paint can stand up to the stress of high-traffic areas and can be used on both asphalt and concrete.
Application process
MMA is mixed on site and applied as a liquid with specialty equipment to ensure precision and uniformity. It can be sprayed or rolled/squeegeed onto the surface and does not require a topcoat. MMA does not require heating (it will cure quickly from the sun or traffic) and can be applied in cold temperatures. No primer is needed to bond on concrete. MMA paint cures quickly, allowing the reopening of road closures more quickly. Anti-skid aggregates are pre-mixed in the material, so there no sprinkling of material during application is necessary.
