Paint Striping
Paint Striping & Parking Lot Striping
From small re-stripes to huge new layouts, we can provide the striping solution for your project. Our goal is to provide customers with the highest level of striping work, all while meeting your expectations, budget, and timeline.
We have completed striping projects across Metro Atlanta and Georgia, as well as in Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Ohio!
Parking lot striping helps with the flow of traffic, giving directions and showing your patrons and employees where they can safely drive and park. An effective parking lot striping layout consists of durable line striping for stalls, arrows for entrances, exits and directional flow, and ADA-compliant accessible spaces, all maximizing the available space to get the most out of your lot.
There are three different types of parking lot striping: new layout, restripe, and resurfaced restripe. In addition to striping, Big Apple Services also provides and installs wheel stops, truck stops, bollards, signage, stencils and select barriers. New Layouts
New construction with a blank canvas? Our experienced striping crews can do layout based on plans or help guide you on how to maximize your available space and remain compliant.
Restripes
Striping and markings are important, and unfortunately they will naturally fade with exposure to the elements. Over time, weather and UV light from the sun will degrade the surface of your pavement and the lines may fade. This can lead to sloppy parking, confusion about where to go, and possible accidents. Faded lines can also be very difficult to see in inclement weather. Restriping refers to simply striping over the existing lines, stop bars, arrows, and other markings to make them more visible.
High-traffic areas tend to fade at a faster rate due to exposure to sunlight, high temperature, and other natural conditions. We recommend restriping your parking lot every 2-3 years given the climate conditions here in the Southeast.
Resurfaced Restripes
Just as with restripes, we can assess the condition of your property and make recommendations on the best course of action. If your parking lot is dull gray and your lines and other markings have faded, we recommend sealcoating and restriping.
If your lot has been sealcoated or milled and repaved, you’ll need to restripe the surface once everything has dried or cured. We can restripe your lot back to the original layout, or we can provide guidance on possible new layouts.
Preparing your lot
The first step for any striping project is to prepare the surface. New asphalt must be cured or sealcoating must be dry. The parking lot will need to be blocked off to ensure no car or pedestrian traffic disrupts the process. Once the lot is empty, it should be cleared of all dirt, debris, and other contaminants. Big Apple Services offers commerical pressure washing if needed. The weather is also a very important component of the process - the forecast should be dry both before and after so that the striping can be applied properly and dry properly.
Stencils
We have a wide variety of standard stencils available to complete your striping project! We offer a multitude of sizes and can customize colors. We can also make custom stencils to make your project unique! From logos to mascot paw prints, our team can make your vision a reality.
We have completed projects for schools, HOAs, small businesses, large chains and warehouse lots.
